Georgia, a country with an ancient history, is home to tens of historical landscapes. These landscapes require careful identification and planning based on well-defined principles and methodology.

This article provides a brief overview of the history of the study of historical landscapes and the outcomes of their planning, using the example of the German settlements in Kvemo Kartli. The study also aimed to plan the historical landscape of the German settlement in Asureti and explore its potential for future use.
