Geographic modeling and geographic model of the resort

Abstract

The article discusses geographic modeling and geographic models, the geographic model of the resort and its main characteristics.

The change in the type or content of the model is a concomitant process of the development of geographical science. It is difficult to perceive such a process, however, the evolution of science, the transformation of research objects and their connections becomes visible when analyzing models of the appropriate form.

The main purpose of geographical models is:

1. Presenting the mentioned complexity of the geographical environment in a simplified and generally understandable form;


2. Determining the reliability of the results of geographical research;


3. A means of assessing and forecasting geographical processes;


4. Interpolation, structuring and classification of data analysis;


5. Development of geographic experiments and scenarios. In the geographic modeling of resorts, attention is focused on several aspects, the main ones of which are: vacationers, natural and socio-cultural environment, infrastructure, medical and service personnel, governing bodies (administration).

The natural environment essentially determines the efficiency of the resort. The effectiveness and comfort of the resort is mainly related to balneological characteristics and climatic conditions, and the discomfort is related to the features of the landscape.

In order to present the essence of the resort and model it, it is necessary to focus on several features, the most important of which are:

1. Healing factors and resources; 2. Natural and historical-cultural environment favorable for human health rehabilitation and recreation; 3. The necessary infrastructure for treatment and health rehabilitation.

The constituent part of the geographical model of the resort can be 4 main and 10 sub-units, the interdependence of which creates a unified system of the resort model.

The geographic model helps us to describe, analyze and synthesize its system. It is also effective for resort geographic assessment, forecasting, simulation, interpolation and data generation.
