Abstract

The development of mountainous regions, based on the data of the World Tourism Organization, is significantly dependent on tourism. The rapid development of tourism has played an important role in the formation of the economic profile of the regions of the world, including Georgia, and especially the impact is noticeable on the mountainous regions. The paper provides an analysis of the research conducted in Tetritskaro municipality, specifically the results of the research show that the local population has a limited vision of inclusion in the tourism supply chain. The population of the mountainous part of the municipality, based on the issues related to agriculture, has actively engaged in tourism industry sectors, which is increasingly "Easy" source of income. However, the interest shown by tourists in local natural products has forced the local tourism industry sector to take advantage and develop agriculture and other industries, which have significantly increased the number of consumers – in the form of tourists. In recent years, in the mountainous regions of Georgia, the integration of various industries in the tourism sector is especially noticeable. The economic development of the rural settlements of the mountainous municipalities of the country is mainly focused on tourism, But due to the needs of tourism, they also maintained the development of adjacent fields, such as agriculture and other households, which were quickly integrated into tourism, in order to entertain tourists with their own products in the background of the shortage of agricultural products in the regions.
