Abstract
Medical geography is a branch of integrative geography that is becoming more and more relevant lately. One of the most significant challenges of modern science is to study the impact of environmental conditions on human health. Geographical and social conditions directly or indirectly affect our state of health. The World Health Organization states that among the factors that affect human health, the living environment occupies 20-22%. According to the same organization, by improving the environment and maintaining normal conditions, it is possible to prevent the death of 13 million people every year.
According to the World Health Report, 85 out of 102 illness and injury categories are directly or indirectly caused by environmental factors.
Studying the health status of the population is the goal of any rapidly developing country. Medical, geographical surveys make it possible to identify health problems and take appropriate action. Medical geography will contribute to the rapid development of medicine and establish a relevant national health care system
