Abstract

Living organisms need a variety of resources for their existence, most of them appear directly in nature, and some of them are subsequently transformed into the desired product. Resources that are part of the natural environment are called natural resources. It is they who ensure the existence of life forms and ecosystems familiar to us in nature. There are several methods for classifying natural resources. The most common types of their classification are divisions according to origin and ability to recover. According to the origin, natural resources are divided into two groups: biotic – derived from organic materials (products derived from biodiversity) and abiotic – derived from inorganic materials (soil, water, air, non-ferrous metals, etc.). Natural resources are also divided into renewable and non-renewable types. Nowadays, the scale of human resource utilization has increased critically as more and more elements in the natural environment have found a purpose in the production of various, modern products.
