Transdisciplinary Assessment of Tourism Potential (On the Example of Ambrolauri Municipality)

Abstract

Georgia is one of the unique and an attractive country in terms of tourism, which is evidenced by the statistics of the annual growth of the number of tourists. The global pandemic in 2020, which is still raging in the world (including Georgia), had a negative impact on the tourism sector around the world, though tourism remains one of the most priority sector of economic of the country.

Research object is Ambrolauri Municipality, which is distinguished by natural and landscape diversity, abun-dance of historical and cultural monuments, inland water, pristine forest groves, etc. Therefore, tourism has developp-ment potential in the municipality.

Pervious article is prepared on a field study course, which was held from 1 to 10 August 2020 in municipality of Ambrolauri.
