Topical Issues of Recreational Geography (on the Example of Georgia)

Abstract
Recreation and recreational agriculture are closely related to the geographical environment, as its potential is significantly related to the natural characteristics and landscape diversity of the area, the geographical features of the farm and social infrastructure. Because of this, recreational geography is one of the most important areas of integration or socio-natural geography.
Recreational geography in Georgia is at an early stage of development. If we do not take into account several publications dedicated to recreational resources, the spatio-temporal peculiarities of recreational resources and recreational economy have not been practically studied and evaluated, theoretical and methodological issues of recreational geography, research methods, etc. Correcting such a situation is a jealous affair, which is related to the rapid pace of tourism development in Georgia. Recreational geography, from a practical point of view, can play a big role in the spatial (territorial) planning of both tourism and recreational agriculture.
The article discusses and presents the place of recreational geography in the system of geographical sciences, the subject (objects) of research on recreational geography, purpose and main directions, important terms for recreational geography, the main types of recreational area, prospects for the development of recreational geography in Georgian geographical school.
