Abstract

This paper examines the natural factors affecting the migration of the mountainous population of Georgia and the problems facing the local population, on the example of Tana Valley.


It is important to define the subject, purpose, objective and the practical significance of the existing issue. It is noteworthy, that today migration processes are a very crucial and debatable topic for many countries, including Georgia. It is this urgency of this topic that has led to the definition of the tasks and significance of the demographic situation of the Tana valley, which I have chosen.


We need to look for all the ways that will maintain and develop the mountains of Georgia, that will change the demographic situation and stop the migration processes.
