Georgia's Resort and Recreational Potential and Some Geographical Characteristics of Resorts

Abstract

The article discusses some characteristics of Georgia's recreational and resort potential, types of Georgian resorts (according to the official list), geographical location according to the height of the place and the shape of the relief, types of mineral water at the resorts and the healing profile of the resorts.
As a result of the research, it was established that the majority of Georgian resorts are of a climatic (almost half) and balneological profile. Such a situation clearly indicates the climatic and biological diversity of Georgia, the large number of mineral (thermal) waters, as well as the scale of the mountainous terrain and the geological structure of magmatic origin. All this is reflected in the large number of climatic, balneo-climatic and balneological resorts.
